Bourne provides some powerful tools to start doing just that. The chapters I found most useful and/or thought-provoking were those on meditation and spirituality, but the whole book is great.Highly recommended. Dr. This is a wonderful book. It doesn't provide a quick fix for anxiety, but if you are willing (and desperate enough) to take the time to think through the issues raised and try some of the technique suggested, it can be life-changing.The author shares his clients' and his own personal experiences in a compassionate, caring way, and I found that healing in itself. The assumption is that all of us who are dealing with anxiety have a hard time accepting and loving ourselves just as we are.
A very good book, even for anyone without anxiety disorders. The author freely shares his personal experiences and how he himself was helped by these ways. Kate This book is aptly titled, as it truly goes beyond the typical anxiety management techniques. There are many lifestyle and philosophical approaches offered for consideration.
Now I feel a sense of relief and like there is a light at the end of the tunnel. It's wonderful and really helped me set a plan into action so I can fill that empty space causing me so much anxiety. This book was a dream come true for me. There is also a section on finding your life purpose. I would recommend this book to anyone who suffers with mild or moderate anxiety who needs reassurance and help. I can't take medication for my anxiety and depression. This book helped me find alternatives that set me on the right path.
